Red Riding Hood Trailer (3-11-11)

Amanda Seyfried plays Valerie, a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider, Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie’s older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood-red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter Father Solomon (Gary Oldman) to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon’s arrival brings unintended consequences, as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon, Valerie begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves. As panic grips the town, Valerie discovers she has a unique connection to the beast – one that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect and bait.

The Adjustment Bureau trailer (3-4-11)

The story is loosely based on the Philip K. Dick short story “Adjustment Team”, and features a smooth-talking congressman whose political future is thrown in doubt by uncontrollable events and the arrival of a mysterious woman in his life.

Matt Damon plays David Norris, a former Fordham University basketball player and charismatic United States Congressman who seems destined for national political stardom. He meets a beautiful modern dancer named Elise Sallas, played by Emily Blunt, only to find that strange circumstances keep them from becoming romantically involved. Norris discovers forces are at work to separate them, and he peels the layers to find out why. The action takes place in various places in Manhattan.

Reel Steel trailer (9-7-11)

Real Steel is directed by Shawn Levy and is based on the 1956 short story "Steel" by Richard Matheson. It also was a Twilight Zone episode called "Steel" for those curious of the origins of the story. I found a full length version on Vimeo of Steel and the episode broken into parts on Youtube. Initially Reel Steel was to be released on November 18, 2011,[ but it was moved to October 7, 2011 to avoid competition with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

In the near future, robots have replaced humans in boxing. Charlie Kenton (Jackman) loses a chance to become a boxing champion when robots take over, and he becomes a small-time promoter. When he has difficulty making a living, he reluctantly teams up with his son Max (Goyo) to build a robot that can contend for the championship.

2011 Sci Fi , Horror and Fantasy Movie List

Sorry guys this one is late but because of time restraints and wanting to do a good job on this it took a couple of months to complete.

Below is a list of confirmed Sci Fi , Fantasy, and Horror films that will be in theaters in 2011. The list is based on facts and details that I could find on the net. Most plot summaries are taking from press releases ,wikipedia (which I come to find they mostly rely on press releases) and varius sites like Ibdm and Bloody Disgusting .

I also took the liberty to add most of the computer animated movies and took some liberties on non Sci FI /fantasy type films which had some elements of the genre mixed into the plot.

If there is any changes in schedules I will try to update the best I can. There are also other films yet to get a release date that may sneak in the list . For example District 10, Dark Shadows (with Johnny Depp), 28 Months Later , Bio Shock, and Conan to name a few.
