Leonard Nimoy will be joining the Autobots
This was out for a week or so and yea I am a little late on this but there maybe a person or two that has not heard the news the Leonard Nimoy will be joining the Autobots in the upcoming movie Dark of the Moon. I can not help it every time I hear that title I think of Pink Floyd or Ozzy Osbourne.
Anyway Nimoy will be doing the voice of Optimus Prime's predecessor Sentinel Prime who you actually do get a peek at on the Transformer 3 trailer. He is the wrecked Autobot that the astronauts find when they landed on the moon ( See that trailer here ). The news on Sentinel Prime is that after he is brought back to Earth he takes on the appearance of a fire engine in the movies climatic battle towards the end of movie.
Ahhh now the film gets a little bit interesting when you have the voice of Mr Spock onboard .
Hey here is a bit or trivia for ya. I bet some of the hard core fans know this but I bet others don't. Did you know that Leonard Nimoy had done the voice of a Transformer once before ? Yep a long time ago when it was only an animated series. He played Galvatron in 1986's The Transformers: The Movie. Check out the video of Nimoys debut as a Transformer.

District 10 and Dark Shadow News
This is just a news brief of rumors and news tid bits that I have come across. I misspoke when I said in a previous post that District 10 may be ready for release this year when in fact it has not even reached production. The rumor is that even the title is a working name and could be named anything. I got this little piece of info from District 10 trailer.com , Movie Moron and the one article that give credence to the rumors from the New York Daily News.
Neill Blomkamp, the film's director, says "the studio wants a sequel," in an exclusive interview with the Sci-Fi Movie Page. The 29-year-old South Africa-born filmmaker said it's already being referred to as "District 10."
As for Dark Shadows it looks like again I misspoke or repeated a not that accurate piece of information that I found on a web blog. In fact the shooting will start this April . But unlike District 10 this one may be released in late 2011 according to REELZ CHANNEL
The script for Dark Shadows was written by Seth Grahame-Smith, who took over writing chores from original writer John August. The movie is expected to go into production in April for a planned late-2011 release.
Other Dark Shadow news has Eva Green joining the film as the leading lady and Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcoate in talks to join the production.
Red Riding Hood Trailer (3-11-11)
Amanda Seyfried plays Valerie, a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider, Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie’s older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood-red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter Father Solomon (Gary Oldman) to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon’s arrival brings unintended consequences, as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon, Valerie begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves. As panic grips the town, Valerie discovers she has a unique connection to the beast – one that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect and bait.
