There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.
Doctor Who
That is a quote I take quite literally and that also pertains to the shows I sometimes watch. And if you think I seem a little giddy about a computer animated Cartoon Network Show of the hit movie How to Train Your Dragon ? Then you would be quite right. I loved the movie and I am looking forward to the plan How to Train Your Dragon 2 full length theatrical due out sometime in 2014. But for the meantime the CN TV series whose 2 trailers ( below ) looks as good as the movie did. Even though most of the scenes were directly from the movie itself with the exception of two or three short clips. The series itself has not been announced but is expected to premier sometime in the fall of 2012 .
I like this trailer. It gives you this eerie scary type of old fashion haunted ghost story feel. If the series lives up to the trailer then BBC has another hit over here in the states. It just has that feel to me as a winner . Well we will see , right . I also included below the trailer the shows schedule for October.
Plot Synopsis from BBC America
Bedlam is a ghostly series set around Bedlam Heights -- a hip, newly renovated apartment building. Those who live there think they have the best address in the world, but little do they know their new home has a harrowing past.
The conversion of Bedlam Heights from a former insane asylum has awakened the ghosts of its dark and violent past. These spirits wish to reclaim what's theirs and seek revenge on those who have wronged them.
Kate (Charlotte Salt, The Tudors), a direct descendant of the people who ran the former asylum for generations, lives and works in Bedlam Heights. Her father, Warren (Hugo Speer, Skins), still owns the old family property, and Kate is helping him fill the remaining vacant apartments. She shares her apartment with roommates Ryan (Will Young, Skins) and Molly (Ashley Madekwe, Secret Diary of a Call Girl), but only with the unexpected arrival of Kate's adopted cousin, Jed (Theo James, Downton Abbey) -- a troubled man with a history of mental illness who sees ghosts and visions of the past -- are they able to uncover the terrifying secrets of Bedlam Heights. The hauntings that follow prove that sometimes when you scratch away the surface, things aren't always what they seem.
Written and created by Neil Jones (Blue Murder), David Allison (Boy Meets Girl) and Chris Parker (EastEnders).

Gate World has the numbers for SGUs very first season (See GateWSorld.nets article SGU’s Season One Ratings Report for complete details). SGU's numbers averaged 1.7.17 million viewers per week with the largest being 2.4447 for the 3rd part of episode "AIR" (Oct 9th) and the lowest with the first part of the season finale "INCURSION "(June 4th). Overall the season was successful enough for SYFY to renew it for another 20 episode second season. Whether it will be renewed for a third that is a good question considering the drop it took .
This is one of those curiosities . Why would an actor leave a role that is successful and can further a career ? In the Dr Who universe we have seen them come and go. Matter of fact the series is on actor 11 and if you include the movies Peter Cushing starred in like Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965) andDaleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D.(1966)we would be up to twelve (I hope I am not missing any others). So an actor leaving is not a big surprise or of any concern. Sure you get hooked on one or the other. I still remember not really warming up to the actor who replaced Tom Baker but that is something one gets use to after a while especially after you come to terms that this show is not about an actor it is about the character and the plot. So seeing an article on why Eccleston left on Sci fi Wire was SOOOOO ok whats new about that ? What was new he thought the show was wrong to put in his wordsRead more...(355 words, 1 image, estimated 1:25 mins reading time)
