Blood and Chrome was originally inented as a prequel series to the hit Battlestar Galactica TV Series. But SYFY decided not to go through with it as a series. How ever in 2012 the pilot was broken up into short webisodes that you can watch on Youtube or here on our video section via streaming.
The webisodes turned back into a pilot movie raises the question. Is SYFY contemplating making the series. I for one thought the pilot show was the best of the all the series pilots . The action and effects outdid its parent franchise and going retro on the cylons and their equipment did not hurt the argument for a series either. Like everything this hinges on fan support and how well the movie did last night. As of now no is the word but the move to convert the series to a tv event and bring it to DVD makes you wonder if the network is not throwing a line into the proverbial waters to see if its not worth another look. It would not be the first time and it sure will not be the last that a dead on arrival series got a second life on SYFY.
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (a prequel to the critically acclaimed hit series, Battlestar Galactica) takes place in the midst of the First Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordan) turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.
