LOL This is not really a Sci Fi article but it is one that has to should be. In what universe does a cartoon character pose in an erotic mens magazine and cause a firestorm of controversy? Marge from the Simpsons will take her acting career to a new level by showing off a little skin in Playboys November issue. I guess like every aging actress she feels that she has to break out of that housewife role that she done all those years . If that is true then she follows many actresses , actors , and of course pop singers that have had to shed thier image and recreate themselves to get a more edgier look to attract a more mature and wider audience and lets not forget to remain in the spot light to further their careers.
This move has not come without any controversy. A number of organizations have protested the layout as a way to target a younger audience. Nothing says spotlight like an extreme right winged conservative church group or tworaising hell because a lack of humor. Now I can not see the harm in these photos. I mean Marge is in her middle ages. She can make decisions for herself . Right ? What is the big deal ? Playboy is a gentleman’s magazine anyway. Not that she will be doing any hardcore or anything like that. Besides how many teen boys have learnt all about sex and what women really like from the issues of Playboy. If they are going to learn about animated love then this is the magazine to have it done in. These organizations should realize this is surely better then what is on the net.
The real question and controversy should be does the carpet match the drapes ? Is this the real Marge ? What is Homer going to do now that Marge is a sex symbol ? Does this mean the end for the famous couple or is it a start of new career ? Will we see Marge now doing adult movies that will appear on HBO , Cinamax , Showtime , or will it be strictly pay per view ? These are the real questions that should be answered. Not that Playboy has taken it upon themselves to have a little fun with the cartoon icon . Well here at M8-2/Scifiolgy wish her luck on her new career and are all for the liberation of womanhood no matter what dimension she comes from.
