Star Trek Axanar is a movie that proves quality does not mean you have to spend a whole lot of money . An impressive project that relies on donations to film is done like a historical documentary of the 4 year war with the Klingons. Without any prejudice this happens to be one of the best indi films that I have seen . Especially those of the Star Trek lore. The special effects and CGI's are top rated by far. The story is one of the more captivating I have seen to date and the acting is superb. I can't wait to see the next installment of this. IMO this should be picked up as a series. But for now they are collecting donations which the links to do so are below.

Information from the Youtube page and links to donate if you want to.

Axanar is the independent production that proves a feature-quality Star Trek film can be made on a very modest budget -- approximately $70,000 in the case of what you just watched -- and outside of the studio system. Filmed in Hollywood, this effort, our short proof-of-concept film to show what our professional and highly talented cast and crew can deliver, was made possible by generous donations to our first Kickstarter effort by fans like you. You are fans of Star Trek. We are fans of Star Trek. Together we can make amazing things happen!

This 21-minute short film, Prelude to Axanar, premiered Saturday, July 26th, 2014, at San Diego Comic Con, and features Richard Hatch, Tony Todd, Kate Vernon, JG Hertzler and Gary Graham -- Gary reprises his role of Soval from "Enterprise." The makeup and hair was designed by Academy Award winner Kevin Haney and Star Trek veteran Brad Look of Makeup Effects Lab in Hollywood. Top that off with the amazing visual effects of Tobias Richter of The Light Works, and sound by Academy Award winner Frank Serafine, and the result is Prelude to Axanar: something unlike anything you have ever seen before. We have our loyal donors to thank for this and we couldn't be more grateful!

Our first Kickstarter for the feature film was an amazing success -- THANK YOU SO MUCH! It's not too late to help make the feature film happen by clicking the following link to learn more about how you can make a difference and be part of the team!

Superman Vs Hulk

17 Jul 2014

Here is a little treat of a fan made nature done by Mike Habjan with excellent animation of one of those what if the Hulk and Superman met ( I know they did in a cross over ) and duked it out. Everyone seems to favor the Superman where I am Hulkamaniac. But I have to admit if it came to a battle between the two unless Hulk was really extremely pissed off and sustained that anger to make him extra stronger and Superman was having a bad day . Superman would win but not without taking lots of lumps first.

So here they are . All 4 videos to date in order

The Night of the Doctor: A Mini Episode – Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor Prequel – BBC

Screen Shot 2013-11-14 at 3.24.04 PM

Here is a really great teaser mini episode for the true Doctor Who fans starring Paul McGann and written by Steven Moffat. I am not going to spoil it for you but it does make that bridge between the 8th Doctor and what is called in this episode the warrior or the War Doctor (John Hurt) in other areas. On a personal note. I loved seeing Paul McGann back as the Doctor. I really wish they would do a mini series with him in it as the 8th Doctor that expands on the Time War. I thought if given the chance he would of been one of the greats in that role.

On the eve of his most terrible battle, the Time Lord is faced with a choice that will change the course of his life. The darkest of days are about to begin.

The Doctor has always been a man of secrets - and now they can be told

Star Trek Continues Videos

11 Jun 2013

I have come across a nice little web nugget just recently. A fan made but very well done continuation of the original Star Trek series. Done with the same feel and filming technique you almost feel like you were watching an original episodes. There are some of course differences in the physical appearances of the actors playing the parts . But to their credit they pretty much nailed the overall personas of the crew. Below I have embedded the Vimeo Version of the first episode ( along with others ) which has the return of Apollo from the OST. Also I embedded 3 other short videos one in which continues off where the last episode of the 3rd and final season of the original Star Trek series left off. So you may call this the unofficial 4th season. There are 1 full length and 3 mini episodes from what I see on the official Star Trek Continues Webpage with a promise of more to come. For now I will try to find the youtube uploads of them to put in the video section so they will not get buried under current post and then lost. For now the Vimeo versions have the better quality and because of that I am embedding those in this the blog section of my site. So enjoy this episode. On a personal note other then getting past the subtle difference of the actors portraying the roles it really is a well done job and worth watching. The ending had a glimpse of Roddenberry dream of what Star Trek should be.

Battlestar Galactica Blood and Chrome Finally hits SYFY

11 Feb 2013

Blood and Chrome was originally inented as a prequel series to the hit Battlestar Galactica TV Series. But SYFY decided not to go through with it as a series. How ever in 2012 the pilot was broken up into short webisodes that you can watch on Youtube or here on our video section via streaming.
The webisodes turned back into a pilot movie raises the question. Is SYFY contemplating making the series. I for one thought the pilot show was the best of the all the series pilots . The action and effects outdid its parent franchise and going retro on the cylons and their equipment did not hurt the argument for a series either. Like everything this hinges on fan support and how well the movie did last night. As of now no is the word but the move to convert the series to a tv event and bring it to DVD makes you wonder if the network is not throwing a line into the proverbial waters to see if its not worth another look. It would not be the first time and it sure will not be the last that a dead on arrival series got a second life on SYFY.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (a prequel to the critically acclaimed hit series, Battlestar Galactica) takes place in the midst of the First Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordan) turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.
