When you hear remake or reboot you think. Christ can you leave well enough alone. Stop sucking the genre dry already. 9 times out of 10 remaking classics is not a good thing. The theaters are littered with the remains of remake movie corpses that killed any chance of rebooting the series as the studios hoped. Then again Godzilla and the first Star Trek movie by JJ Abrams proved me quite wrong in that aspect. Poltergeist from what I have seen from this trailer may just prove me wrong again. 
Some of those scenes are just really that creepy and disturbing. Especially the original all time creep me out from the original which was the clown doll that in this version was reimagined into a more creepier scene if you could believe that. The same holds true with the famous “They’re hereeeeeeeeeee !!!!! scene with the little girls hand pressed on a TV with white noise static flickering on it. In the remake she presses her hands against the TV like in the original but in this instance another hand presses back . Some really great reworking of the classic iconic scene if you ask me. 
So what is the plot going to be in this one ? is it the same or do they vary so much that it is a new movie altogether ? Thats a good question. In these post I usually include a plot summary or something from sources that include source material . So far there is no official page that I can point to to get any more info about plots or what have you and the Wikipedia page that usually post all the press release notes and official synopsis has the bare minimum on this one . However the Facebook page has some interesting photos and back stories that are pretty interesting .
