Its 9:00 LA time 11 AM here in Nashville when I decide to pluck down 7 dollars on StarTrek.com/Creation Events/TVoop live streaming event of the Aliens of DS 9 which was to start in 15 minutes of my payment at 11:15 Central and 9:15 Western.
The streaming started with a camera shot of one of the big screens that flank each side of the stage which showed a bunch of clips from DS 9 to music. Then the camera panned the stage which showed the empty seats of where the actors would sit. One by one they were introduced . First the lovely Nicole de Boer who play Ezri Dax, then there was the equally lovely  Chase Masterson (Leeta),Jeffery Combs , who played a slew of Star Trek characters but was best know as Weyoun. Casey Biggs (Damar), and  Vaughn Armstrong(Seskai), and finishing off with Armin Shimerman and Max Grodénchik better known as Quark and Rom.The show started with Jeffery combs interrupting for brief moment to announce with a lot of laughter from the audience that he found someones very expensive pass at the bar. Then moved on to questions. One of them being on how did Armin and Max end up in their roles. I wish I could remember the exact words because it was pretty interesting. I guess the next time I will remember to at least plop a recorder next to my computer so I can do some play backs. But the gist of it was that Armin and Max were up for the same role . That role being Quark and the story told was that Max thought he blew his lines when it was announced that he had the second reading for the role at that point he went out to sulk and that is when he met Armin who pointed out that he felt he blew his lines too but felt that it was between them two any way because they were shortest. You know the result of the matter Armin got the role of Quark and Max became Rom.

It seemed like the questions went kind of down the line of the panel. Combs reminisced on how he was a Ferengi before playing the role of Weyoun . The rest of the panel joked that he played all their parts. It is amazing though how many parts that he did play in the star trek universe. So did Armstrong. But Armstrong readily admitted that he had brief moments in DS 9 compared to other shows of the franchise. He jested that he was called on to make an appearance when they knew the character had to die. Casey Biggs explained how his character on the show which was Damar developed from being a villain to be a hero. The ark of the character as he reference the growth of Daram was something . One of the pivotal points he remembered was when he was informed that his wife and child had died and that is the point when the character had decided to change. Biggs also mentioned how much he hated drinking the stuff that he had to pretend to be Kanar.
Chase Masterson looked at her role very positively . Saying how much she liked playing Leeta who eventually was to marry Rom and was to become the wife of the Grand Negus . How they even when they got separated in war time always thought of each other. She admitted that she would of like to have had Leeta with a twinge of darkness. She went on to express how satisfying it was to receive notes from service men about that they watched and how they related their situation to the shows and her character.
Nicole showed her real fan girl side. She was a true Treky in and out. She pretty much loved everything about the show and there was very few moments she could say was her favorite. That all those experiences stood out in her mind as great moments.
At the end of the show they were asked some questions from various people. Some where out there some were profound. Like I said I do not have a recording of the show so recalling exact questions and responses is something I can’t really remember all to well. The experience is what I thought it would be like. It was easy on my schedule . I could hear everything that was said. It was in the comfort of my own home . What can you say it was near perfect. Some graininess on the video and unavailability of a playback but other wise a great experience for someone that could not make the convention themselves. I will most likely See Leonard Nemoy and the Captains.

Update:

If you payed for a particular show or you want to watch one of the previous shows and pay for it  you can watch the play back at TVOOP http://www.Tvoop.com/recording/2460
