Last night I got to see the lion share of the Scream awards and it was something . A little different and yet the same as award shows goes. Maybe because it honored Sci Fi , Fantasy , Horror and Comics all rolled into one and most of the choices were voted be fans at spike.com. I am still not fully agreeing with some of the selections they chose but hey that is personal taste and who am I to disagree.
There were some great moments like William Shatner coming out to accept the ultimate scream award for best movie. Which was Star Trek. The joke being he was not involved in it . But it was a respectful gesture to original captain of the Enterprise.
Other memorable events of the evening was paying homage to the great Stan Lee . The comic book legend that gave us Spiderman , Hulk , Thor , Fantastic Four and so much more. Seeing never before footage of Star Trek and the trailer for the new Twilight movie . And one of the shockingly gross memories of the evening was the Most Memorable Mutilation. I do not think there was a person in that theater or at home that did not cringe when they showed the selections .
