Even though this is a Japanese release only and most likely will only be viewed here in the states via DVD or theatrical release only if the movies are huge hits in Japan much like some of the Toho Godzilla films were. I had to do a post on it simply because it looks like it can be a hit and also it is my sons favorite show and manga series.
It’s always is a daunting undertaking to do one of these type of films and is a pretty epic undertaking to put an Manga/Anime concept into a live action film. Especially one of this magnitude. Most likely some of the faithful will be disappointed just simply because of the obvious when it comes to the type of films. It just never really translates well when any material that originates from any kind of graphic book form to live action cinema. Still from the trailers there are glimpse that this may and really has a good chance to reach a wider audience that has not been introduced to the Attack on Titan series which always is a plus in any industry.
