You got to love hearing a story like this . Spielberg , Disney , Dreamworks , and Doubleday are teaming up to do Daniel H. Wilson’s Robopocalypse. I think Mr Wilson was a bit overwhelmed also. He made this comment on his personal BLOG on the news that Steven Spielberg was going to direct a movie based on his book.
Uh, hmm. Sort of at a loss for words here. Somebody pinch me?
Like was said Spielberg will direct and the shooting will begin sometime around January 2012 with Dreamworks developing , Disney releasing it sometime in 2013 and Doubleday will publish the book June 2012. The plot of the story from what I could find is pretty much summed up by the title. The Human race attempts to survive an apocalyptic robot uprising. It is said that Speilberg is so into doing this story that he has already started designing and the storyboard for it. Personally every Spielberg film that he was high on ended up being masterpieces so I am looking forward to seeing the end results.

“Robopocalypse embodies an imaginative story of a robot rebellion unleashed against the human race,” said Mark Sourian, who’s announcing the project with his co-prexy Holly Bario. “This is a project we immediately sparked to and with Steven directing it we knew it was in the best possible hands to bring it to worldwide audiences.”
