The Power of the Doctor | TRAILER | Doctor Who

This is it. The 13th Doctors final battle – The Power of the Doctor, coming 23rd October 2022. Some people are cheering that we are getting a new Doctor while others are lamenting that Jodie Whittakers reign is over for various reasons. However you feel about this moment in the shows history we all know that this is what the show does to stay fresh. To me it was needed only because of the direction the writers and show runner took it in. Personally I saw many missed opportunities to go in a very creative direction of self discovery as a first time woman which could of spawn so many positive conversations. You had an excellent actress in Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor with only a handful of good story plots. The endless child story line for me and many was unnecessary and a deal breaker that turned many fans off of the shows direction. The main bulk comes from the passionate faithful that stood by the original story lines of the original Doctor and those that followed even when they were so horribly cheesy at times but oh so fun at the same time. Others thought it was a nice change that the show needed to grow. For me there was so many contradictions from previous versions of the Doctors origin story which didn’t sit to good with me .Well we will all see in good time what direction Russel T Davies takes the show when the 14th Doctor Ncuti Gatwa takes control of the Tardis. I wish them both the best of luck. Doctor Who fans are a ver passionate lot that can be very fickle if they don’t get it right.
