TNT to pick up Spielberg sci-fi series

The cable TV networtk TNT has announced that it will pick up a yet to be named Sci Fi alien invasion series by Spielberg. This is the first venture for the cable network into the realm of Sci Fi series. The series is written by Robert Rodat from an idea that was originally from Spielberg . The story according to the Hollywood Reporter ,  will …

 ” star Wyle as the leader of a rag-tag group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force. Moon Bloodgood, Jessy Schram, Seychelle Gabriel and Maxim Knight co-star. ”

 

 Michael Wright  (TNT’s head of programming)has said about the reason of going with a Sci Fi series that

“We want to challenge ourselves and our audience to expand our horizons while concentrating on what’s working for us — character-based, populist-themed dramas”
